Becks Cant MSc

Becks Cant MSc is a Senior Consultant at SJ Group International and the former National Police Training Lead for Hostage and Crisis Negotiation. With more than 30 years of experience in high-threat and complex environments, she has trained specialist negotiation teams worldwide, including programmes supporting the FBI, Special Forces and police units across Asia, Europe and the Americas.

As national training lead, Becks helped modernise UK negotiation practice, drawing on research-led and evidence-based methods alongside her own frontline and command experience. She developed national policy and operational guidance on hostage and crisis negotiation.

Becks holds a Master's degree in Counter Terrorism and is Counter Terrorism Director of the International Professional Security Association (IPSA).

At SJ Group International, she trains leadership teams and specialist staff to handle high-pressure situations, provides consultancy on negotiation, risk and crisis management, and supports clients during live incidents. She co-leads the firm's immersive crisis management course at Bylaugh Hall with Katey Martin.
