David Cox

David Cox is Regional Lead, Africa at SJ Group International, coordinating the firm's work across the continent. A former senior leader at the UK's National Crime Agency, he has more than 18 years of experience leading intelligence-led investigations into serious and organised crime and protecting vulnerable communities.

David is a PIP3-accredited Senior Investigating Officer, the national accreditation to lead the most serious and complex criminal investigations, and an IPP-accredited Intelligence Manager. He has held senior roles at the National Crime Agency, in regional Special Operations Units and in local police forces, directing multi-agency operations and leading major investigations. He has advised government at the highest levels, including the Prime Minister's Office.

He has deployed internationally on capability building, humanitarian and crisis response operations, and has built working relationships with law enforcement, governments and NGOs worldwide.

At SJ Group International, David leads the firm's strategic and operational work across Africa, supporting clients in high-threat and fast-changing environments with intelligence-led advice and crisis support.
