David Jones MBE

David Jones MBE is Director of Risk and Crisis Management at SJ Group International and the former Head of the Anti-Kidnap and Extortion Unit at the UK's National Crime Agency. A former New Scotland Yard detective, he has more than 30 years of experience across law enforcement and private security.

At the National Crime Agency, David led the UK's specialist response to kidnap, hostage-taking and extortion at home and overseas. His work covered recoveries, counter-extortion strategy and corporate threat assessments, alongside security agencies, multinational businesses and high-net-worth individuals around the world.

At SJ Group International, he helps clients understand their exposure, put the right protections in place, and respond calmly when a threat becomes real. His specialisms include corporate security, intelligence-led investigations and crisis response.
